Short-Term Independent Study

Short-Term Independent Study allows your student to keep up with schoolwork while away and avoid unexcused absences.

Please note that absences over 5 days require a meeting with a school administrator prior to approval. Additionally, because teachers need time to prepare coursework, please submit requests at least 5 days in advance whenever possible.

Families can request Short-Term Independent Study by completing the online form available on our school website under the Programs tab.

Requests that do not meet district guidelines may be denied. Students can only have a cumulative total of 15 days of absence for the school year. No Extended Short Term Program will be available beyond these 15 days.
